New senior appointments at JLT Employee Benefits

03 September 2014

JLT Employee Benefits (JLT) has announced two senior hires to its employee benefits business, with Jonathan Mindell becoming Executive Director, and Nick Bushell taking the role of Head of Health and Risk.

Jonathan joins JLT from Mercer where he was a Senior Partner.  Prior to this he was Group Managing Director at Cendant and with Citibank.

Referring to the appointment of Jonathan Mindell, Mark Wood, CEO, JLT Employee Benefits, commented: "Jonathan's client oriented responsibilities at Marks and Spencer, Prudential, Bupa and Citibank together with his professional work at Mercer make him uniquely qualified for his new management role at JLT.  We very much look forward to working with him."

Jonathan Mindell commented: "I am delighted to be joining one of the UK's leading employee benefits organisations and look forward to leading a number of initiatives between now and the end of the year that will support the continuing expansion of JLT's services."

Nick Bushell will head up JLT's growing Health and Risk practice from 1 September. He was formerly sales director at Lorica Employee Benefits. Nick's responsibility was previously assumed by Lee Thurston, who operated from JLT's International Employee Benefits division reporting to Richard Roper.

Commenting on the appointment of Nick Bushell, Malcom Reynolds, Managing Director, JLT Employee Benefits, said: "We are delighted to have attracted Nick to JLT. We have high ambitions for the development of our Health and Risk practice, building on the rapidly expanding client base of JLT Employee Benefits."

Nick Bushell commented: "I have been very impressed by everyone I have met at JLT and look forward to working on the team, to build on the foundations in place in the Health and Risk market.  This is a highly competitive market where JLT's wide range of clients and track record in innovation will be powerful assets."

The two senior hires follow the recent appointment in May of Jonathan Underwood as Director of Product Management of BenPal, JLT's flagship online system for managing UK and international employee benefits programs.
