We are proud to bring you a new piece of research ‘New Model Reward Research 2017’ is the third in a series of in-depth data insight reports from the Reward & Employee Benefits Association (REBA) sponsored by JLT Employee Benefits. It looks at how legislative, economic and societal changes are re-shaping employers’ pay and pension’s strategies.
The survey was carried out among 183 pay, reward and benefits specialists working across a variety of organisations and industry sectors, and looked at the challenges faced by HR managers over the coming year.
The research reveals that UK employers are coming under growing pressure to increase pay and boost their employee benefits offering to an increasingly diverse workforce.
Some of the key findings include:
- Over a third of respondents said national living wage is putting pressure on them to increase wages though for many increasing salaries during these challenging economic times is not a viable option
- A growing number of respondents are looking to improve their employee benefits offering in the coming years but acknowledge there are challenges in tailoring their rewards to a diverse workforce.
- There was also a huge rise of over 75% in the demand for pension advice and education on pensions, with pensions featuring high on the agenda for most of the respondents.
